10 hours in total.
8 hours run over two afternoons (Saturday and Sunday 1-5pm) before the birth,
PLUS 2 hours reunion after the birth to meet all the
babies and swap stories

Course content
The sessions involve movement and practicing birth positions so please
wear loose and comfy clothes.
If you have an exercise or birthing ball please bring it along.
The course is practically based and will include :
• Current evidence based information
• Group and couple work
• An understanding of the physiology of labour, the journey of birth
for you and your baby
• Developing faith in your body
• Managing labour, practical options and effective tools to maximise
and support normal birth, enabling you to develop your own strategies
• Thinking about pain, your choices from natural to drug based
• What happens when birth is not straightforward
• Facing parenthood, first hours and weeks
• Balanced information on the pros and cons of breast and bottle
feeding
